Fast X trailer is just a few hours away and Michelle Rodriguez gushed on one of the newest members of the Fast and Furious family. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Fast X trailer release party, Rodriguez teased Jason Momoa’s role in the franchise.
The actress revealed that Momoa is a villain in the upcoming film, saying, “Oh, hell yeah. He’s a playful one, that one. He can be malicious, but he can be playful. So, it’s really exciting to watch. It’s like a new, fresh energy.” She continues, “There’s something charming about him.” Michelle added, “He does everything with a smirk, and there’s something really cute about that.”
Rodriguez then quipped, “Maybe it’s just that he’s hot.” She added, “Maybe I’m just thrown off because he’s so hot.” However, Jason Momoa is not the only new member joining the franchise. Alongside Momoa, Helen Mirren, Rita Moreno and Brie Larson are set to star in Fast X. There are also some of the returning members for the saga’s final two-part film like Charlize Theron and John Cena.
While talking about other cast members, Rodriguez gushed, “How many Oscar winners do we have? 4 – 4 for Christ’s sake! You got Brie, you got Charlize, you got Rita, and of course, I mean the goddess.” She added, “I mean have you ever seen, I’m not going to mention that movie but like, Helen Mirren is… [I] just love her.”
In addition to the new addition to the Fast X cast, Rodriguez, Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang and Scott Eastwood will reprise their respective roles in the film. However, Rodriguez also gets candid on what fans can expect from Fast X. Rodriguez described the final film in three words, “legacy, family affair.” The official trailer for Fast X drops on February 10, with the film roaring into theatres on May 19.
