Kanye West made headlines once again, this time for an altercation with a paparazzi when questioned about his wife, Bianca Censori’s, autonomy. The incident, reported by TMZ, occurred as the rapper was en route to Charlie Wilson’s Walk of Fame ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard.
Video footage from TMZ captures the paparazzi approaching Kanye from behind and inquiring, “People want to know if Bianca has her free will, some people are saying you’re controlling her…” Before the question could be completed, Kanye swiftly turned and snatched the pap’s phone. Despite the screen going black, his voice could be heard reprimanding her, “Don’t come at me with that dumbass s–t, I’m a person. Are you crazy?”
Asserting his stance, Kanye continued, “I’m a legend, I’m here to support Charlie Wilson and you come ask me some dumbass s–t about my wife. That’s my wife.” He further questioned the reporter’s intentions, asking if she had any “free will” or if she “works for the devil.”
As the paparazzi pleaded for her phone back, bystanders attempted to diffuse the situation. Kanye, however, persisted in his interrogation, condemning the question as disrespectful. “You asked me if my wife had free will. Was that a dumbass, disrespectful question to ask a grown-ass superhero,” he asserted. “Was that wrong or right? Answer the question, I’m supposed to answer your questions, answer my questions.”
The incident follows reports alleging that Kanye banned his wife, Bianca, from using social media to shield her from negative comments.
