Jamie Foxx Faces Se*ual Assault Lawsuit

This isn't the first time that Foxx has faced such allegations. In the past, during the MeToo movement, another woman accused him of harassment, which Foxx denied.

Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx is facing legal trouble after a woman sued him for an alleged incident of se*ual assault in 2015. This information comes from a recent report by TMZ. The woman, known only as Jane Doe in court documents, claims that Foxx assaulted her at a rooftop restaurant called Catch in New York City in August 2015. Not only Foxx, but the lawsuit also names the restaurant, its employees, and Mark Birnbaum, a co-founder of Catch Hospitality Group, as defendants. Jane Doe is seeking a trial by jury and asking for both compensatory and punitive damages.

This isn’t the first time that Foxx has faced such allegations. In the past, during the MeToo movement, another woman accused him of harassment, which Foxx denied.

This year has been tough for Foxx in other ways too. In April, there were reports that he was hospitalized due to an undisclosed “medical complication.” Later on, he faced criticism for a post on social media that seemed to have anti-Semitic undertones. The post, which has since been deleted, mentioned the death of Jesus and led to significant backlash. Some saw it as implying that Jews were responsible for Jesus’ death, which sparked controversy.

In response to the backlash, Foxx apologized to the Jewish community, saying, “I know my choice of words have caused offense and I’m sorry. That was never my intention.” He clarified that when he mentioned ‘they,’ he was referring to a fake friend who betrayed him and not targeting any particular group. Foxx also expressed his love and support for the Jewish community.
