So much is the love that they receive from their fandom, that their fans just want to know everything about them. While the Grammy-nominated band keeps making headlines regularly, in the past couple of days, one particular member has been in the eye of tabloids.
The leader of the group, Kim Namjoon who also goes by his stage name, RM, has made some ARMYs really worried about the recent news that’s been surrounding him. As per several K-Media reports, the 27-year-old is dating a fan and is soon to tie the knot with her. This information was perhaps, leaked by the girl herself, who isn’t a part of the K-pop industry.
An anonymous account on the Korean social networking sites, by the name A, shared the information revealing RM’s rumoured girlfriend is actually a university student and had revealed this information herself. “I received a call from a junior colleague who is seven years younger than me saying, ‘I’m marrying RM.’ She’s from a prestigious university and has a decent family. I heard that she met RM at a fan meeting between 2014 and 2015,” said user A.
While this information alone is not sufficient, many fans jumped to conclusions and were convinced that the young rapper is actually all set to get married. Not just this, Namjoon has been a host to such baseless rumours for a long time now, with a private account on Instagram, that claimed to be working with the idol closely, had revealed that the ‘moonchild’ singer was actually one of the idols from the band to have been in a relationship.
All of this convinced fans that the rapper was indeed getting married, until Big hit entertainment released a statement a few days back confirming that the rumours have no depth to them and that RM is not getting married anytime soon, to anyone. “RM’s marriage rumours are groundless. We are continuously taking action against malicious rumours that started on YouTube,” said the statement.

For the unversed, this isn’t the first time that RM has been subjected to such wedding rumours, right from sporting a ring that somewhat looked like a wedding band, to removing it before approaching the cameras, fans felt something fishy with it and declared that he was actually, secretly married. Some even joked about him saying he even has kids that nobody knows about!
