Ed Sheeran’s wife Cherry Seaborn is turning 30 this year and the singer has shared a rare glimpse into his marriage with an intimate snap of him with his better half. Taking to Instagram, Ed posted a photo of the couple lying in a hammock together, with their arms around each other. Alongside the sweet snap, the singer penned, “HBD to ma baby mama. 30 looks good on you.”
The loved-up couple are the childhood sweethearts, having grown up together in the same town. However, they rekindled their romance in 2014 and tied the knot in a small ceremony five years later. Previously, Ed Sheeran revealed, “Me and Cherry’s actual wedding was a tiny affair, with hardly anyone there. We did it at night, on a random day in the middle of January, in the middle of nowhere.”
The singer added, “No one knew, no one came to it, we lit candles and we got married, went back and had a curry.” Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn welcomed their first child together, a daughter called Lyra Antarctica, in September 2020. Meanwhile, last year, Ed said he plans on quitting major tours after this one, so he can spend more time with Cherry and Lyra.
He said, “I would hate to get to 20 years’ time and have a relationship with my kids that had suffered because I’d chosen work over them. I think the pattern I see a lot in my sphere, is if I could go back it would be this, ‘I would not miss this birthday and I would not go, yes I’ll play another stadium.'” He added, “I think it’s about finding the balance with that and I honestly think that this next tour that I’m going on, at the end of the tour, I can’t see myself going on one of them like that again.”
