Timothee Chalamet’s “Dune: Part Two” To Cross $500 Million At The Global Box Office

Science-fiction "Dune: Part Two" has earned an impressive amount of $494.7 million at the global box office and soon will cross $500 million mark.

Timothee Chalamet starrer “Dune: Part Two” has become the most successful film of the year. The worldwide market of the film is so strong that it is considered as the highest-grossing film of 2024. Dune’s sequel was released in the United States on March 1st and till date, it has earned $208 million in North America. The total earnings of the film marked nearly $494.7 million, globally i.e. 4100 crore in Indian currency. Dune: Part Two has marked an outstanding creation at the box office and the film is about to reach $500 million soon. 

This sci-fi movie directed by Denis Villeneuve has observed a heavy turnover outside the US and Canada. It collected $36 million in China, $32.8 million in the UK, $24.9 million in France, $5.6 in Australia, and $25 million in Germany. 

In the case of Dune released in the year 2021, the ticket flow got influenced due to the simultaneous release in theatres and on HBO Max and therefore it couldn’t garner such an impressive amount at the box office. This time makers avoided the hybrid streaming which made it the highest-grossing film of the year. Yes, it’s pretty much early to say but for the current moment, it has the best financial collection. From Imax screens, it grossed $100 million in a weekend and became the seventh fastest film to run this benchmark.

Warner Bros and Legendary Entertainment produced Dune: Part Two cost $290 million which includes production and promotion ($100 million) cost. So Frank Herbert’s novel-based movie has retained its expenditure and soon will cross the $500 million mark.
