During the latest episode of the “Old-ish” podcast, Brian Austin Green and his now-fiancée, Sharna Burgess, shared the exciting news that they’ve taken a significant step in their relationship.
With excitement, Burgess exclaimed, “He proposed to me!” Her fiancé, Green, confirmed the joyful moment, saying, “I did the thing.”
The couple revealed that they’ve actually been engaged for approximately two months, with Brian proposing on his 50th birthday in July. The engagement took place during a surprise party that Sharna threw for him.
Burgess described the heartwarming proposal, which included Green’s children from his previous marriage to Megan Fox, as well as their one-year-old son, Zane. Green also shares a son, Kassius, with his ex, Vanessa Marcil.
According to Burgess, the children played a central role in the proposal. “The kids come in with him. Noah is holding Zane, and Journey is holding this little red Cartier box. And they all come in there and they stand next to Brian, and he takes the box from Journey, and he says, ‘Would you spend the rest of your life with us?'” Burgess recalled, adding that she was overwhelmed with emotion at the beautiful moment.
While marriage had been a topic of discussion for the couple, Burgess admitted that she didn’t expect the proposal to occur on Green’s 50th birthday. “Of course I said yes,” she said, “and I put that ring on my finger and I hugged all of them. It was the most perfect, beautiful unit, because it was us, our unit, our tribe.”
Green, on the other hand, explained that he wasn’t nervous about popping the question, viewing it as a natural progression in their relationship. He shared his aspiration for Sharna to share a last name with their entire family, highlighting the significance of this commitment.
The engagement news has undoubtedly marked a new chapter in Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess’s love story.
