Disney+ Ahsoka: Everything We Know So Far

Ahsoka is scheduled to be released in late 2023, here is what we know so far about the series.

Star Wars fans have been eagerly waiting for a live-action Ahsoka TV series, the character first appeared in Star Wars The Clone Wars(2008-2022) and Star Wars Rebels series(2014-2018), a live-action film on the character was requested by the fans. Fans were graced by the character’s live-action look in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, played by Rosario Dawson. The character has become a fan favorite, setting the course for her very own live-action series. Here’s what we know so far about the series.

Ahsoka Trailer

According to sources the film wrapped up shooting last year in October 2022, it’s still in post-production and expected to continue till May 2023. We are now expecting to see a trailer any time soon. Although there was a brief screening of a few clips at the Star Wars Celebration show, it was played behind closed doors and unfortunately, those not in attendance will have to wait till the official trailer drop. Disney+ 2023 sizzle reel showed a brief first look at the series where the actress can be seen taking her hood off.

Ahsoka Release date

The show is expected to release in 2023 but there is no definite timeline as the series is still in post-production. As The Mandalorian season 3 released on 1st March people are speculating that we might have to wait till late 2023 for the show’s release.

Although there are many questions regarding the Ahsoka series, the information about its cast was shared in detail.

Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker

Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren

Ray Stevenson casted as an unnamed villain

Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ivanna Sakhno have also been casted but their roles in the series have not been shared, According to some fresh news, Eman Esfandi will be playing the character of Ezra Bridger.

Behind the series 

Ahsoka is being directed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, additionally, one episode of the series will be directed by Peter Ramsey co-director of Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. There still isn’t any confirmation on the number of episodes that viewers will get to watch.
