Singer Adele halted her concert to defend a fan who was being heckled by security. The video of the incident is rapidly spreading online. In the video, Adele paused her performance midway and addressed the situation: “What is going on there with that young fan who’s been bothered so much, since I came on, for standing up? What’s going on with him? Yes, you, with your hand up, yes you! Put your hand up. You, no you, yes, you with the stick in your hand. Yes, him.”

She proceeded, “What are you doing? Why are you all bothering him? Can you leave him alone, please?” Adele then reassured the fan, “They won’t bother you anymore, darling. You enjoy the show.” She reiterated to the security, “Leave him alone.”

Adele then addressed the audience, saying, “Sorry, guys. He’s been bothered the whole show by security and other people sitting behind him. He’s here to have fun. All of you are here to have fun.” She turned to her band and said, “Let’s start again,” and continued with the song “Water Under the Bridge.”

Upon the release of the video, netizens quickly praised Adele. One user shared their own experience, “I’M SO HAPPY SHE DID THIS because I remember going to the Jonas Brothers concert and security bothered and kicked a gay guy out for being excited and dancing.”

She said, “Have you noticed how people are forgetting show etiquette at the moment? People are throwing s— on stage. Have you seen that?” She then humorously challenged her audience, “I f—ing dare you — I dare you to throw something at me. I’ll f—ing kill you.”
