Actress Anne Heche Might Not Survive Following Tragic Car Crash

Anne Heche has suffered serious injuries following a car crash. Following the accident earlier this week, Anne Heche's rep reported that the actress had 'serious anoxic brain damage.'

After tragically colliding with a residential home on August 5 and being intubated in the hospital, Anne Heche, 53, is “not expected to survive. Her rep told HollywoodLife, “Unfortunately, due to her accident, Anne suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma, in critical condition. It has long been her choice to donate her organs and she’s being kept on life support to determine if any are viable.”

The terrible diagnosis comes just days after she was seriously injured in an accident. The actress was apparently observed driving down multiple Los Angeles streets in a blue Mini Cooper before collapsing into an apartment building. She drove away as people in the building sought to assist her before crashing into a residential residence in the Mar Vista neighbourhood. The automobile was subsequently engulfed in flames, burning the house and everything within.

Since then, Anne has remained unconscious and in the Grossman Burn Center in West Hills, California. “We want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers for Anne’s recovery and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses that cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital,” the rep further added. “Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit,” they said.

“More than her extraordinary talent, she saw spreading kindness and joy as her life’s work especially moving the needle for acceptance of who you love. She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and dearly missed for her light.” In a statement issued earlier that day, the Los Angeles Police Department acknowledged that narcotics were discovered in Anne’s system.

However, the LAPD noted that more testing is required to “rule out any substances administered at the hospital.” She is also being investigated for felony DUI after the lady inside the wrecked home required medical attention. With her former spouse Coley Laffoon, Anne has a son named Homer who is now 20 years old. She and her ex-partner James Tupper, whom she met while filming Men In Trees in Vancouver, British Columbia, are also parents to Altas, 13.
