Fans already want a sequel to the series Sudip Sharma has made. Although it is too early to tell, it is up to the producer Anushka Sharma.
Paatal Lok starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Neeraj Kabi and Abhishek Banerjee is a gritty journey into the hell that the underbelly of society is. It may be a gory and terrifying journey to cross the Paatal Lok, but viewers do not seem to get enough of it. Most of us want to see more and if rumors are to be believed in News18, Anushka Sharma is all in for just that to send fans. She said in Teasing Paatal Lok Season 2 “It’s too early to talk about it but yes if Amazon is willing to do it, definitely there will be a second season”.
Showrunner Sudip Sharma’s crime show has nine episodes detailing the discoveries made by Hathi Ram ‘s investigation into the dark heart of a corrupted crime-ridden society. The outcome is a revolutionary presentation of the nation’s emerging issues hidden in society’s lowest end.

And it succeeded, with most viewers watching the series so fast, memes and comparisons to Hathi Ram and Hopper (Stranger Things) started to do the rounds in just a few days. It’s not only Anushka Sharma who confirmed Paatal Lok Season 2, but Sudip Sharma also discussed the idea of a second instalment, in an earlier interaction with a news portal.
Well, Sudip himself dropped a hint as to how the story could be carried forward he said, “If we have to take it forward [in Season 2] there’s always the possibility of Hathi Ram and Ansari on a new case and a new set of characters and a new Paatal Lok to explore. So, although it feels complete, there are narrative possibilities that it still leaves you with,” reports Mashable India. So its quite obvious after these two hints that the show might return to the Amazon Prime but probably in a fresh and a new realm.
