WATCH: Why Fans Are Calling Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki” A Slow Film

Directed by the acclaimed Raj Kumar Hirani, known for hits like 'PK' and the 'Munna Bhai' series, 'Dunki' marks his first collaboration with Mr. Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated movie, ‘Dunki,’ finally hit theaters, promising to be the star’s next blockbuster following the success of ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan.’ However, initial reports paint a different picture as the film struggles to gain momentum at the box office, leaving fans disappointed with its weak plot.

Directed by the acclaimed Raj Kumar Hirani, known for hits like ‘PK’ and the ‘Munna Bhai’ series, ‘Dunki’ marks his first collaboration with Mr. Khan. Despite high expectations, the magic seems to be missing, signaling a slow start for the movie.

In contrast, Prabhas’s ‘Salaar’ has taken the lead in collections, surpassing ‘Dunki’ by a considerable margin at the box office.

In a Lehren interview with audiences who watched both ‘Salaar’ and ‘Dunki,’ the consensus was that ‘Dunki’ felt slow-moving, while ‘Salaar’ was engaging and devoid of dull moments.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, who previously delivered the blockbuster ‘KGF 2’ with Prabhas, ‘Salaar’ has drawn favorable comparisons for its engaging storyline and pace.

While both films are recent releases, the complete picture of their performance will emerge as days progress.

‘Dunki’ also boasts a stellar cast including Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Satish Shah, Boman Irani, and more, yet the film’s initial reception appears tepid compared to the roaring success of its competitor, ‘Salaar.’
