However, did you know that there was a time when Shah Rukh scolded Kajol for her lack of knowledge about acting in front of the camera? This incident occurred during the filming of Baazigar.
During an episode of ScoopWhoop Townhall, Kajol candidly revealed, “I didn’t know acting at all. It’s the truth. At the time of Baazigar, Shah Rukh had said to me, ‘You know you are an idiot. You really are an idiot. Tum gadhi ho, tumhe pata nahi tum kya karrahi ho. Tumhe kuch pata nahi hai acting k baare mein. Tum bas aese ghumti phirti ho. Tumhe pata nahi hai ki tum kya karrahi ho camera k saamne. And you better watch it because you have to learn the craft of acting.'”
Kajol initially didn’t understand the concept of “craft” in acting and questioned its importance, thinking that saying dialogues was sufficient. However, Shah Rukh emphasized the significance of honing acting skills. With time, Kajol realized the necessity of developing acting expertise, as not every emotion can be heartfelt all the time. She acknowledged that actors need to cultivate their skills, as one person cannot sustain enough genuine emotion to last throughout their entire career.
