After delivering two box office hits, Tabu is gearing up for the release of another exciting film next month. She will be seen alongside Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen, Radhika Madan and Kumud Mishra in Kuttey. This film marks the directorial debut of Vishal Bhadwaj’s son Aasmaan Bhardwaj.
During the trailer launch of Kuttey, Tabu revealed that her character was originally written for a male actor. She said, “Actually my character in Kuttey was written for a male. But then it was changed for me.”
Playing this character was fun and challenging for me,” she further added.
Talking about working with debut director Aasamaan, Tabu said, “This film is very different from the films of Vishal Bhardwaj. There is no comparison. Aasmaan is a very different kind of filmmaker. Of course, his thoughts and aesthetics match with Vishal Ji. But the cinema of Aasmaan is different.”
Kuttey is a black comedy thriller film releasing in theatres on 13 January 2023.
