‘Vijaypath’, a movie released in the year 1994, was a commercial hit. In this movie, directed by Farogh Siddique, a famous duo, Ajay Devgn and Tabu, worked as opposite leads for the first time ever. Their chemistry in the movie was so brilliant that the duo worked together in many films after Vijaypath. With the movie, the one song, ‘Ruk Ruk Ruk’, was an ultimate hit.
There are a total of 8 songs in the movie and people loved all of them. Music director Anu Malik put all his heart into making the music for the movie. But, the one song made everyone dance on the beats, and not just a song but dance too. The ‘Ruk Ruk Ruk’ song was shot in a way that it looks brilliant on screen. The credit goes to the choreographer of the dance, Chinni Prakash. There are various scenes in the songs and locations too. Chinni Prakash directed Tabu in a way that the fresh girl just rocked the song with her elegant dance performance. But there was an accident that happened just 2 days before the shooting of the song. Sharing that instance, choreographer Chinni Prakash said, “2 days before the shoot, Tabu met with an accident. She had a sprained ankle. Besides that injury, the girl gave a fantastic performance. She pictured it very well.”
Even after having a pain in her ankle, Tabu gave her 100%, cooperated with her choreographer Chinni Prakash and made that song a hit. She got a perfect balance between the emotions of the song and the dance step. The publicity of the song gave her tremendous popularity.
According to producer Dhirajlal Shah, this film was made for Indian audiences from each and every region of India. It was a complete commercial film, filled with spices, action, romance etc. Music is another reason behind the success of this film. People gathered in large chunks to watch this movie. Many of them praised Tabu’s presence as well as the songs in the movie. Many predicted that Tabu would have a bright future and so she had and she is still doing great work.
