Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen took the internet by storm in 2022 after the actress made her relationship with businessman Lalit Modi Instagram official. Back in the year, the actress was brutally trolled by netizens and was called names for her relationship with Lalit Modi. She was also labeled as a “gold digger” by many trollers. Reacting to the same the Aarya actress has now finally addressed her relationship with her ex Lalit Modi in a recent interview.
During her conversation with Mid-Day, actress Sushmita Sen talked about her relationship with Lalit Modi and how she dismissed rumors about their marriage, she said, “I just put out one post on Instagram because sometimes I think when people keep quiet, their silence is mistaken for weakness or fear. I just needed to put out one post to let them know I was laughing. After that, I was done with it.”
Giving a befitting reply to trolls calling her a gold digger, Sushmita said, “I’m enjoying all the memes, but if you’re calling someone a golddigger, at least don’t monetize her”. She added, And check your facts. I like diamonds, not gold. Anyway, that was another experience, another phase, and things happened. And if I was going to marry someone, I’d be married to them. I don’t try. I either do or I don’t,”
For the unversed, business tycoon and IPL founder Lalit Modi made a surprising revelation on July 14, that he is dating former Miss Universe and actress Sushmita Sen as he shared some romantic photos with her on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. However, just after a month into their relationship breakup rumors surfaced after, Lalit Modi changed his bio on his Instagram.
While after their breakup, Sushmita Sen was recently seen rekindling her romance with former boyfriend Rohman Shawl. The two have been seen attending several public events together which sparked their dating rumors among the netizens.
