Subhash Ghai Announces A New Film With His ‘Hero’ Actor Jackie Shroff

This will be Jackie's third project with the filmmaker after his debut Hero (1983), and Yaadein (2001).

Today marks Jackie Shroff’s 66th birthday, and wishes are purring in from his family friends and film fraternity. But director Subhash Ghai, who launched the actor as a lead with his film Hero (1983), has announced a very special gift for the actor.

On the occasion of Jackie Shroff’s birthday, Subhash Ghai took to his social media and announced a new film. Sharing the announcement on twitter ghai wrote, “Once a HERO -always a HERO ?️‍♂️ BORN as a new super HERO in our film HERO 1983 and #YAADEIN 2001 ? now comes in 2023 as a heart warming super HERO on big screen film being produced by ⁦ @MuktaArtsLtd on my script never before ⚔️ HAPPY BIRTHDAY ⁦ @bindasbhidu

This will be Jackie’s third project with the filmmaker after his debut Hero (1983) where he was cast opposite Meenakshi Sheshadri and Yaadein (2001) in which Jackie essayed the role of a father.

Meanwhile, Jackie Shroff recently organised a pooja, a blood drive, a community lunch for more than 10,000 people, and the distribution of blankets and books to underprivileged kids.

“I feel really overwhelmed and grateful to have fans who organise such social interest activities. This makes you believe that there are indeed good people in this society. I am really glad that my fans have been organising such community events and drives for my birthday over the years,” the actor told the news agency IANS.

“It is a gift that I will never forget for years to come. I hope they continue doing such good deeds for the betterment of this society,” he added.
