Narcotics Control Bureau raided the residences of Rhea Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda this morning. NCB has arrested Samuel Miranda after searching his house for two hours. Samuel worked as Sushant’s house manager and was present at the actor’s residence the day he was found dead.
The raid was conducted after the agency found a drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
Miranda is accused of procuring drugs on the instructions of Rhea’s brother Showik.
The NCB registered a case against Rhea, her brother Showik, talent manager Saha, Sushant’s co-manager Shruti Modi, and Goa based hotelier Gaurav Arya under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The case was registered after the Enforcement Directorate came out with WhatsApp messages between Rhea and Shruti Modi, Samuel Miranda and Siddharth Pithani.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case was initially handled by Mumbai Police. It was later transferred to the CBI after the center received a request from the Bihar government. The Narcotics Control Bureau came into action when the investigation indicated the involvement of drug cartels in the case.
