SRK’s Dunki “Postponed” To Avoid Clash With Salaar? Here’s What We Know

Rajkumar Hirani’s much-anticipated film Dunki starring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan might be getting a change of release date. Dunki which was earlier set to clash with Prabhas starrer Salaar is now reportedly getting postponed.

Many reports have claimed that Rajkumar Hirani’s film Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan will be getting postponed. Taking to Twitter, trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan wrote, “Buzz: #SalaarVsDunki X #ShahRukhKhan’s #Dunki likely to get POSTPONED. #Prabhas’ #Salaar to get a SOLO record release.”

Lets Cinema also shared the news on their twitter handle and wrote, “Reports suggest, #Dunki might get postponed from December 22nd due to dealyed post-production timelines. Awaiting on official confirmation.”

If the reports are true, then Prashanth Neel’s upcoming film, Salaar starring Prabhas will be getting a solo release at the theatres. While Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan might look for a release date in 2024. However, there’s no official confirmation yet. For the unversed, both Salaar and Dunki were previously set to have theatrical release on 22nd December 2023.

Salaar will be Telugu action thriller film, directed by KGF director Prashanth Neel. The film will feature Prabhas, Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles. On the other hand, Dunki will be an upcoming comedy-drama film by Rajkumar Hirani featuring Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan and actress Taapsee Pannu.

Shah Rukh Khan made his comeback in 2023 with his two major blockbuster films Pathaan and Jawan which also became the two highest grossers of 2023. Shah Rukh Khan will soon be appearing again in theatres with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film also marks the first ever collaboration of the famous actor and filmmaker. And with recent blockbuster hits like Jawan and Pathaan there’s a high possibility that “Dunki” will recreate the magic on screens for the SRK’s fans.

Prabhas Upcoming Movies

Prabhas was last seen in Om Raut’s directorial Adipurush which unfortunately failed to impress the viewers. Prabhas will now be seen in Prashanth Neel’s Salaar. He also has Kalki 2898 AD featuring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani and Dulquer Salmaan.
