SRK’s Jawan Called A “Cheap Copy” As Several Visuals Look Similar To These Movies!

While Jawan teaser is a visual treat for the millions of SRK fans, it has disappointed the movie maniacs. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan has been labelled a “cheap copy” by netizens as they point out the inspirations taken by Atlee from other movies to put together the Jawan teaser. Movie buffs are talking about how several visuals from Jawan have been borrowed from several other films. For instance, the burnt look of SRK reminds everyone of Tamil film Anniyan which was dubbed in Hindi as Aparichit. The scene in Jawan, where the baby is lifted in front of the crowd reminds everyone of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali. And not to forget the startling similarities with the Hollywood film called Darkman where Liam Neeson is seen wrapped up in bandages to hide his disfigured face and returns to seek revenge on those who tried to kill him.

Someone also compared SRK’s scene with Salman Khan’s previously released film.

Well, fans are not surprised by these similarities as Bollywood has been taking copying/taking inspiration from Hollywood and South cinema for a long time. A netizen said, “Nothing new. We are used to it now.”

Jawan features Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone (in a special appearance. The film is directed by Atlee and produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The film will hit the theatres on 7th September 2023 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu!
