Apart from great acting skills and irresistible charm, Shah Rukh Khan is known for his sense of humour. His wit during public and media interactions has often won our hearts. However, he once embarrassed his wife Gauri while trying to be witty on stage. During a Bollywood event, SRK casually mentioned that he “baths” with Gauri.
A few years ago, at a Bollywood award function, Gauri was asked to mention an annoying habit of her husband. She replied, “Someone who’s claiming that he doesn’t know anything about style, I just have to tell you a little secret. Whenever we are going out or stepping out for a party, I’m usually out in 20 minutes, ready and you know, perfectly on time. And he takes maybe two-three hours.”
Shah Rukh immediately stepped in and said, “Ab saath me naahane me time lagta hai na (It takes time when you bath together).” The crowd was seen laughing out loud.
The short clip is now going viral on YouTube and people have mixed reactions to it. While his fans called it a “savage” and “witty” reply, others found it disgraceful. A netizen wrote, “If an ordinary man said that he’d be called a creep and disrespectful man.”

Someone said, “this proves that if you have money and fame, people will laugh at your jokes no matter how pathetic they might be.”
“Was he really listening to her at all? , she is talking something different and he replied without any link to what she was saying. Kuch v,” reads another comment on the video.
A user pointed out, “She is ready in 20 mins ! With whom he baths for 3hrs then.”
Someone called SRK’s reply “cheap”.

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri are married for over three decades. The duo tied the knot in 1991 and they have three children- Aryan, Suhana and AbRam.
On the work front, Shah Rukh will be soon seen in an action thriller film titled Jawan. It is produced by Gauri Khan under their home production banner Red Chillies Entertainment. The film is directed by Atlee and also features South superstars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. It will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on 7th Sep.
