After two dull years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mumbai witnessed a night full of glitz and glamour as many celebs walked down the red carpet of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022. The prestigious award function was held in Mumbai on Sunday. The highlight of the night was rumoured couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, who not only walked the red carpet together but also bagged awards for their film ‘Shershaah’.
‘Shershaah’ won the Best Film Award, while Sidharth and Kiara walked home with the Critics Best Actor and Best Actress awards, respectively. The two actors were seen sharing a tight hug in front of the paparazzi as they came out with their trophies.
Addressing the media, Sidharth said, “Thank you so much. It is a very emotional and overwhelming moment. It is a very special film for us and it took us years to make it.”
Kiara said, “My heart is filled with gratitude today because this film belongs to all of us. It is a prestigious award and I am happy to receive it.”
Shershaah is based on the life of Kargil War hero Captain Vikram Batra. It was released on 12th August 2021 on Amazon Prime Video.
People loved Sid and Kiara’s on-screen chemistry in Shershaah’. And knowing that the actors are dating in real life too is a complete joy for their fans.
