Shaitaan Box Office Verdict: Ajay Devgn Starrer “Hit Or Flop”?

Starring Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, and Jyotika, Vikas Bahl’s much-awaited Bollywood horror-thriller, “Shaitaan” was released in theatres on 8th March. The Bollywood horror film opened up to positive reviews from both moviegoers and critics. After witnessing a bumper opening the film has been performing decently well at the box office. Now that the film has almost finished its first week in theaters, it’s time to determine whether the film is a box office success or failure.

Shaitaan Box Office Collection Day 6: Film Crosses 100Cr Mark

As per Sacnilk.com, Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan starrer “Shaitaan” a solid ₹ 14.00 Cr on its first day at the box office. The film saw huge growth during the weekend (Saturday-Sunday), earning ₹ 18.75 Cr on Sunday and ₹ 20.5 Cr on Saturday. After a successful weekend, the film witnessed a huge drop on the weekdays.

Shaitaan earned ₹ 7.25 Cr on Monday, ₹ 6.75 Cr on Tuesday, and ₹ 6.25 Cr on Wednesday. The film now stands at a domestic total of approx. ₹ 74.00 Cr. On the other hand, the film has reportedly managed to earn ₹100 crore worldwide.

Shaitaan: Hit Or Flop

“Shaitaan” had a strong opening weekend, the film maintained momentum over the weekend, and despite a significant drop on weekdays, the film’s overall earnings suggest that it’s a box office “hit”, exceeding production costs and performing well both domestically and internationally. Within one week the film has successfully managed to cross the 100cr mark making it a box office “success”.

Shaitaan Story/Plot

“Shaitaan” narrates the tale of a family of four, grappling to survive after encountering a malevolent black magician portrayed by R. Madhavan. The trailer features the story of a family’s encounter with an unexpected visitor, played by R Madhavan, who intrudes upon their isolated farmhouse in the hills. He claims to have hypnotized Janhvi (played by Janki Bodiwala), the daughter of Ajay Devgn’s character. Following this revelation, chaos erupts, with Jyotika playing the role of Ajay’s wife in the film.
