After a 4 year long hiatus from Bollywood, superstar Shah Rukh Khan made his comeback in 2023 and delivered 3 major blockbuster hits including Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. While there are no specific details about the Bollywood superstar’s upcoming films, however, SRK recently disclosed his desire for the ultimate film he wishes to undertake before he finally retires and bids farewell to his acting career.
Shah Rukh Khan Talks About His Career’s Last Film
Shah Rukh Khan recently went to the World Government Summit 2024 in Dubai. During the event, the Bollywood superstar opened up about why he declined the offer and said no to the Oscar-winning film, Slumdog Millionaire. Shah Rukh also opened up about what he had experienced during his four-year break from Bollywood.
At the same event, SRK also talked about how he wanted to finish his acting career. He said he still plans to act for another 30 to 35 years and isn’t retiring soon. But when the time comes to stop, he wants his last movie to be very special and loved worldwide. He asked people to learn Urdu and Arabic to understand it better. From what Shah Rukh said, it sounds like he wants his final movie to be a big hit worldwide and appreciated by everyone.
SRK On Anil Kapoor Replacing Him In Slum Dog Millionaire
During the same event, Shah Rukh Khan explained why he turned down the opportunity to be in Slumdog Millionaire. He said he didn’t feel right about it. At the time, he was hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati on Hindi television, and the role required him to play a dishonest host, which he wasn’t comfortable with. Khan later praised Anil Kapoor, who eventually took the role and did an excellent job in the film.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will start filming his next project around March or April. However, there are no other details available about this film yet.
