Salman Khan Shelved No Entry Mein Entry? Here’s What We Know

Salman Khan has decided to shelve No Entry Mein Entry due to legal and financial complications

No Entry fans are highly excited after hearing the news of a sequel to the 2005 comedy film. However, a report of film being shelved may come as sad news for them. Reportedly, Salman Khan who played Prem in the first part has shelved the sequel No Entry 2 titled No Entry Mein Entry. Reports suggest that the actor got upset about the frequent problems emerging with the movie’s shoot.

No Entry helmed by Anees Bazmee featured Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Salman Khan, Celina Jaitly, Bipasha Basu, and Lara Dutta in the ensemble cast. The director has been working on the sequel of the much-loved comedy drama. If the Bollywood Hungama report is to go by then Salman Khan has decided to shelve No Entry Mein Entry owing to legal and financial complications.

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, “Salman had his heart set on No Entry 2 and wanted to make it. He had himself sat on the script with Anees Bazmee and felt, it was amongst the funniest scripts he read in the last decade. The first part was stuck in multiple legal tangles due to Sahara One Motion Pictures shutting its shop. Salman initially thought it would be easy for him to resolve the conflict, but when he dug deep into the matter, the maze was a lot more complicated.”

The source further informed, “The idea was to pay off everyone and acquire the rights. But when a list of stakeholders to be paid off was made, the amount extended beyond the stipulated budget. Ones around Salman felt that there was a strong possibility of third-party raising issues against the film once it goes on floors as the rights are very opaque and they may have to spend additional money if that happens.”

“He is dying to do a comedy film, but circumstances are such that nothing is materializing. Anees Bazmee has also moved on to making his superhero comedy. Salman is now on the lookout to find a new script to start work on from the month of January/February.”

On the work front, Salman Khan has an interesting lineup of upcoming projects. He is shooting for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and next in the pipeline he has Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger 3. Bhaijaan will also play a role in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie Pathaan.
