Yes, You heard it right! producers of Kalki 2898 AD, ‘Vyjayanthi Films’ have decided to push forward the debut date of their multi-starrer movie. As per a report by Times Now, the upcoming mega-movie has reportedly been postponed again and the reason behind this delay is the lead artist. The report states that ‘Prabhas’ has reportedly expressed his concerns about the proximity of the release date to his recent film- Salaar, which was released last month in December.
According to the sources of the portal, the film Kalki is ready for its release, but the Baahubali star feels that its close proximity to his last release may hamper its success. ”The producers are now looking for an appropriate date for release in March or April 2024.”
The decision made by the production company is indeed a well planned masterstroke as the ‘Rs. 600 crore’ budget film Kalki 2898 AD will sharply skip its clash with Hrithik Roshan & Deepika Padukone’s ‘Fighter’ slated to release at the Republic Day Weekend (January 25th). Prabhas’s last actioner Salaar also clashed with SRK-Raju Hirani’s 1st collaboration venture ‘Dunki’, the face-off resulted with a significant monetary loss to both the highly awaited movies.
