Prabhas is one of the biggest superstars in the entertainment industry, and we all know that the Baahubali franchise is the biggest film of his career. But ever since the reports of making Adipurush surfaced, many reports claimed that Adipurush was going to be Prabhas’ costliest film to date. The excitement that was in the audience after the release of the film turned into a nightmare for them.
Prabhas made his Bollywood debut in 2019 with the film Saaho, helmed by Sujeeth, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor as the lead actress. But the film got mixed reviews and ratings from the audience as it failed to meet their expectations.
Then another pan-India film, ‘Radhe Shyam, released in March 2022, was one of the most expensive movies that failed massively at the box office. Helmed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the film reportedly suffered losses of over Rs 100 crore. ‘Radhe Shyam’ only made Rs 48 crore on its first day, despite having a large budget.
And now, talking about his most recent Bollywood film, Adipurush, the craze, buzz, expectations, and excitement turned out to be more opposite than that. And sure, Prabhas must be cursing himself, “Why did I do this film?”
Coming to the point, the charm of Prabhas, which is in the South Indian film industry, was not seen in Bollywood at all. Adipurush is not only the flop film of his life; it is the first film that met him with criticism from all sides. First of all, he should have understood that if a film is being made on Gods and Goddesses, then it should be fully studied, even if you are not a writer or creator.
And the makers should also know that if they are making a film about Hinduism or any other culture, they need to learn everything about it. Because nowadays people’s eyes are sitting like nothing can be hidden, and in the era of social media, not at all.
And there is nothing like that: Prabhas should not come back to Bollywood after this film because it is his choice where to work and where not.
But in the upcoming films of Prabhas, he should take a careful decision because only money and nepotism are left in Bollywood at the moment.
His upcoming films include Project K, Salaar, and others, which he has to handle or else he will lose his fans.
