Paresh Rawal Finds Fault In OMG 2, Says ‘Mujhe Achi Nahi Lagi Kahani,’ Suggests Sequel Should Be Made in ….’

OMG 2 Teaser Released, Receives Mixed Response from Fans; Paresh Rawal's Absence Leaves Audience Confused

The teaser of OMG 2 was unveiled on Tuesday, evoking a mixed response from fans. While some expressed nostalgia and missed Paresh Rawal, others praised Pankaj Tripathi’s presence. However, audiences are left confused why Paresh Rawal did not play his role in the sequel, as he played the lead in the first installment.

In a viral interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actor revealed his reason for declining the sequel. He stated, “Mujhe nahi lagi kahani achi, I don’t want to be a part of it. Mere liye koi bhi sequel banana, encash karna, mujhe as a character maza nahi aa raha toh, mene bola mein nahi karunga.” He further he said that if a sequel to a successful film is to be made, it should follow the example set by Rajkumar Hirani. “Jo hum Hera Pheri mein kar chuke the, it was again (encashing). Abhi toh Neeraj (Vora) nahi raha par encash kyu? Ya toh aap sequel banate hai toh Munna Bhai MBBS jaisi banao, ki ek leap late ho, quantum, Lage Raho Munna Bhai jaisi,” he expressed.

OMG 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on August 11. In the previous installment, Paresh Rawal portrayed an atheist, whereas in OMG 2, Pankaj Tripathi will play a devotee.

Despite declining OMG 2, Paresh Rawal is currently involved in the Hera Pheri franchise, with the shooting set to commence soon. He will reprise his iconic role as Baburao alongside Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty.
