When Esha Deol Slapped Amrita Rao On Sets And Said, “I Have No Regrets; She Totally Deserves It”

When Esha Deol openly admitted to slapping Amrita Rao in front of others but expressed that she had no regrets for her actions.

In the entertainment industry, like any other workplace, there can be professional rivalries or personal differences that can lead to uncertainties between actors, including actresses. These issues can arise due to competition for roles, public attention, or other factors.

It’s no secret that there has been a cold war between some of Bollywood’s leading female actors. While they may put on a friendly face in public, behind the scenes, there is often suspense and competition. Some say it’s just a natural part of the industry, while others believe it’s a toxic environment that needs to change. And this dynamic has been a part of Bollywood for years and will likely continue to be so.

If we are talking about a cold war between female actors, one such incident happened between Esha Deol and Amrita Rao, where the former slapped the other one hard.

This incident took place in 2006 during the shooting of Pyare Mohan sets, which featured Esha, Amrita, Fardeen Khan, and Vivek Oberoi. Despite the film not showcasing good results at the box office, the news of Esha and Amrita’s conflict grabbed much attention.

Even when Esha openly admitted to slapping Amrita in front of others but expressed that she had no regrets for her actions.

According to reports, Amrita Rao made some nasty comments about Esha Deol, which triggered Esha’s anger. In a fit of anger, she slapped the Vivaah actress on the set in front of everyone. After talking about the same incident, Esha said she had no regrets about what exactly happened.

She stated, “Yes, I slapped Amrita. One day after pack-up, she abused me in front of my director, Indra Kumar and my cameraman and I thought that was totally out of line. To protect my self-respect and dignity, in the heat of the moment, I slapped her. I have no regrets because she totally deserved it for her behaviour towards me at that point in time.”

She further added that she had just stood up for herself and her dignity. “She realised what she had done and apologised to me, and I forgive her. Now things are fine between us.”
