Nushrratt Bharuccha On How People Are Afraid To Buy Condoms

During the trailer launch of 'Janhit Mein Jaari', actress Nushrratt Bharuccha opened up about how people are afraid to buy condoms at a medical store.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama actress Nushrratt Bharcuccha is gearing up for a new film titled ‘Janhit Mein Jaari.’ In the film, Nushrratt will be seen playing a small-town girl, who sells condoms.

During the trailer launch of the film, Nushrratt opened up about how people are still scared to ask for a condom in a medical store. She said, “When Raaj (writer of ‘Janhit Mein Jaari) met me and told me about this film, his first line to me was, ‘If today (being a girl), you go to a medical store in any city and ask for a condom, you’ll see what kind of reaction you would get.’ We were shooting in Chanderi and if I had gone to a medical store and asked for a condom, the whole Chanderi would have known that I went to buy a condom. It could spread like fire.”

She then asked the audience, “How many girls here have ever bought a condom from a chemist?”

The host added that people often buy unnecessary things at a medical store before actually asking for the condom. Nushrratt added that we often say that we need the condom for a friend who is too shy to buy it when instead it is for ourselves.

Nushrratt then concluded, “I hope this film changes things. We have made an attempt. Let’s see.”

‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ will release in theatres on June 10.
