Nitesh Tiwari’s film Ramayan has long been in the headlines. As per the reports and rumors, it is believed that Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has been signed up to play the role of lord Ram in the mythological film. While South actors Sai Pallavi and Yash will be seen alongside Ranbir as “Sita” and “Raavan”. However, a new report has now claimed that not Sai Pallavi but Janhvi Kapoor will be essaying the role of goddess Sita in the film.
Yes, you read that right, as per a Firstpost report, it is now believed that Janhvi Kapoor will be playing the role of goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s film, Ramayan. A source told the portal, that Nitesh Tiwari who previously worked with Janhvi in Bawaal has decided to rope in the actress for the role of Sita in his film, Ramayan. As per the source, the filmmaker believes that Janhvi is the perfect fit for the role of goddess Sita.
However, the netizens have different views on the same. Reacting to the news a segment of Reddit users shared their reactions and completely opposed the idea of seeing Janhvi Kapoor as goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s film, Ramayan. Many netizens even claimed that the film will be a disaster similar to Om Raut’s film Adupirush.
A user wrote, “They can play whoever they want and can also watch the movie among themselves. Aapas mai banao movie aur aapas mai dekho. We do not want another Adipurush please.”
Another Reddit user wrote, “There were news that the shooting had already started with Sai Pallavi.If this news is indeed true then that’s worse that they onboarded Jhanvi at this point.This sadly is what nepotism is about…not just being presented with the best opportunities but also snatching away other’s.”
Meanwhile, talking about the cast of Nitesh Tiwari’s film, Ramayan is believed actor Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of lord Ram, Sunny Deol has been approached for the role of Hanuman, Yash will be seen as Ravan, Bobby Deol as Kumbhakarna, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, and Vijay Sethupathi as Vibhishan. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.
