On Tuesday, Ajay Devgn posted a teaser poster from his upcoming work-in-progress film Maidaan and it’s gone already viral on social media. The film poster, featuring Ajay as a football coach, does not reveal cast faces but depicts several football players still on a muddy field and slathered in mud. The players are seen holding footballs in their hands posting the film’s teaser poster on Twitter, Ajay Devgn has also confirmed that Maidaan will be released this year in November. Maidaan will be a direction under Amit Ravindernath Sharma, produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Zee Studios.
Taking it to twitter Ajay shared the teaser poster and wrote “#MaidaanTeaser – Get ready for Maidaan! November 27, 2020.”
In Maidaan, Ajay Devgn will take on the role of Syed Abdul Rahim, a football coach who coached India to triumph at the Asian Games in 1951 and 1962. From 1950 till 1963 he operated as the president of the Indian football team. The movie will star south actress Keerthy Suresh as the wife of Ajay’s character. It will be the first film where Ajay Devgn and Keerthy Suresh will be seen together.
Last year in July, Zee Studios announced the film on twitter and tweeted: “Elated and proud to announce a story never told as Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor and Fresh Lime Films come together for a biopic on India’s legendary #Football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim, starring Ajay Devgn…”
Besides this Ajay Devgn was last seen in the movie Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior which is still at a triumphant position in the box office.
