MaidaanBoxOffice: Amit Sharma’s highly anticipated Bollywood biographical sports drama “Maidaan” premiered in theaters on April 11th. Featuring Ajay Devgn, the film garnered praise and positive reviews from both audiences and critics. Despite the favorable reception, it fell short of high expectations and didn’t achieve a remarkable opening at the box office. After seeing slight growth during the weekend, the sports drama witnessed a “huge” fall at the box office on Monday.

Maidaan Box Office Collection Day 5
Despite a prime Eid release and positive reviews, Ajay Devgn’s “Maidaan” disappointed fans with its first-day box office earnings of just Rs 7.10 crore. Despite the Eid release, the film saw a significant decline in performance on Friday. However, the film managed to register some growth on Saturday and Sunday.
After seeing slight growth in earnings over the weekend, Maidaan witnessed a massive drop in earnings on Monday. As per Sacnilk, Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan earned only ₹ 1.50 Cr on Monday. The Bollywood sports drama now stands at a domestic total of approx. ₹ 23.50 Cr.
Ajay Devgn’s film Maidaan has been facing tough competition at the box office with Akshay Kumar starrer “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” which was also released on the same day, April 11.
About Maidaan
The film’s narrative takes inspiration from Syed Abdul Rahim, the renowned coach and manager of the Indian national football team, celebrated as the driving force behind Indian football’s golden era between 1952 and 1962. Ajay Devgn portrays the character based on Rahim on screen, depicting the coach’s relentless dedication as he strives to excel.
Helmed by Amit Sharma, Maidaan is a biographical sports drama film starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role alongside “The Family Man” fame actress Priyamani as the female lead. Apart from them the film also stars Gajraj Rao, Nitanshi Goel, Chaitanya Sharma, Tejas Ravishankar, Abhilash Thapliyal, Davinder Gill, and Amartya Ray in significant roles.
