KK Death: Akshay Kumar, PM Modi & Others React To The Shocking News

Along with Akshay Kumar, various Bollywood celebrities take over social media to mourn the loss of legendary singer KK.

Bollywood singer KK recently performed at a concert in Kolkata, at Nazrul Mancha on Tuesday. After which he suffered a massive heart attack, later to which the singer was taken to the hospital soon after which he was declared dead. Various celebrities took to their social media handles and shared condolences.

Bollywood’s eminent singer KK passed away at 53, according to the reports the singer felt uncomfortable while performing at the concert at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. After which he left for his hotel in Esplanade where he collapsed. The singer was rushed to Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) at around 10:30 pm, where doctors declared him brought dead.

West Bengal’s minister Arup Biswas shared details about the singers’ death, he said, “Singer Anupam Roy called me up and said he is hearing something bad from the hospital. Then I contacted the hospital. They said he was brought dead. Then I rushed to the hospital.”

Many celebs took to their social media and shared their reaction to the unfortunate and sudden loss of the legendary singer. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar shared a tweet on his Twitter account as he wrote, “Extremely sad and shocked to know of the sad demise of KK. What a loss! Om Shanti.”

Meanwhile, singer Vishal Dadlani who had collaborated with KK on several songs, tweeted, “The tears won’t stop. What a guy he was. What a voice, what a heart, what a human being. #KK is forever!!!”

Actor Munmun Dutta also took to Twitter and wrote, “It shocking beyond words .. to every music lover like me. GOD what’s happening. Life is so unpredictable. Om Shanti.”

PM Narendra Modi also mourned the loss of the singer as he tweeted, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”

Rahul Vaidya wrote, “Singer KK never smoked or drank! Led the most simple non controversial non media hyped life. Complete family man. Jab bhi mujhe mile he met with so much of love & kindness. God! Too unfair! OM SHANTI.”

Filmmaker Srijit Mukerji wrote on Facebook, “In a state of total shock. Just met him last month for the first time and it seemed that we had known each other for years. The chatter wouldn’t just stop. And I was so moved to see the love he had for Gulzar saab. He said he stepped into the film world with Chhor aaye hum and sang it to him as a tribute. Farewell, my newest friend. Will miss you. I wish we could have had more sessions on music and food and cinema.”  While the fans and netizens also grieved the loss on the internet.

The singer shared a post of his concert on Tuesday, May 31, as he wrote, “Pulsating gig tonight at Nazrul Mancha. Vivekananda College !! Love you all”. The singer was known for his songs like Tadap Tadap (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, 1999), Dus Bahane (Dus, 2005), and Tune Maari Entriyaan (Gunday, 2014) and more.
