One of the most popular films in the Bollywood industry, ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’, was released on August 12, 1988. The film, directed by Rakesh Roshan, starred Rekha, Kabir Bedi, and Shatrughan Sinha in lead roles. It is a revenge drama that revolves around a woman who undergoes a transformation to seek vengeance against those who wronged her. It’s worth noting that “Khoon Bhari Maang” is considered a classic in Indian cinema and has left a lasting impact on audiences. As the film completes today, its 35-year-old actor Kabir Bedi shares some anecdotes from the film.

In an interview with Hindusthan Times, the actor recalled that he got a call from Rakesh Roshan asking him to feature his film. He said, while filming “Magnum, P.I.” in Hawaii with Tom Selleck, he received an unexpected call from Rakesh Roshan to star in his Bollywood film. Initially surprised, he joked about actors being on strike. Roshan explained him that if he takes a villain there will be no surprise, and asked him to do it. When he learned Rekha was the leading lady, he agreed due to her fame. He returned, shot the film, and it became a major success.

In the same interview, Kabir Bedi discusses one of the film’s scenes where he tries to kill Rekha by throwing a crocodile. He said how young girls got scared by the same scene and mentioned that he was considered one of the most dangerous men on earth.
