Renowned comedian Kapil Sharma is busy promoting his upcoming film Zwigato, which is going to hit theaters on March 17, 2023. During the promotion, the actor-comedian has been shedding light on his life experiences and the darkest stages of his life. In the recent interaction, the actor opened up about the time when he faced issues with anxiety, though he decided to commit suicide as he felt there was nobody with him to share his feelings. Moreover, he stated that this was not the first time he had experienced this phase; perhaps, as a child, he must have felt depressed but no one would have known.
In a conversation with Aaj Tak, Kapil stated, “In that phase, I thought about committing suicide. I thought there was nobody with whom I could share my feelings. In the country where I come from, mental health is not something that is discussed. I don’t think this was the first time I went through this phase. Maybe, during childhood, I must have felt low, but nobody would have noticed.”
The Kapil Sharma host further added that as a public figure, people know you as an entertainer, but when you come home, you’re alone. He also revealed that from those little things he learned to enjoy those life phases. “You are also not in a situation to live a normal life where you can go out, sit on the beach, and look at the sea. You live in a two-room flat, and when it’s dark outside by evening, I cannot explain how bad the feeling is in that situation.”
Meanwhile, Zwigato, which was directed by Nandita Das, is scheduled to open in theaters on March 17. The movie recently screened at the Busan International Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, where it was well received.
