It has been a long time since Kangana Ranaut and Diljit Dosanjh engaged in an infamous war of words on Twitter. Diljit released several singles (and a few movies), Kangana became a director and even disappeared from Twitter during a year-long ban before returning.
On Tuesday, the actress tried to reignite their feud by microblogging with a mockery of the singer; shares a tweet from the food delivery app Swiggy, Kangana tagged Diljit. The original tweet contained images of Pulsen with the caption “Pulse aa Gayi,” a piece about “Police aa Gayi” spoken in a Punjabi accent. Kangana shared a tweet tagging Diljit Dosanjh in the tweet and fans flushed with sarcastic comments on the tweet.

Although the actress did not mention the context, many interpreted her to taunt as a reference to the recent crackdown on Khalistani supporter Amritpal Singh. Currently, the actress accused various protesters and activists of promoting Khalistan’s separatist agenda. His Twitter war with Diljit two years ago was based on a similar statement he made after Diljit supported the then-ongoing farmer protests. However, many others urged the actress not to goad Diljit again.

Amritpal Singh, a Punjab separatist leader, and the self-proclaimed preacher is the leader of Waris Punjab De. He is currently on the run from police over his alleged role in the Ajnala clash in which gunmen stormed a police station, injuring several police officers.
