Kangana Ranaut Questions Mahesh Bhatt’s Real Name, Why Hide It?

Kangana Ranaut took a dig at filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt for hiding his real name and changing religion

Kangana Ranaut is the queen of Bollywood for a reason. She has always been vocal about her thoughts, apparently pulling her into controversies. The Dhakad girl doesn’t fear any Bollywood mafia and has cemented her grounds in the industry. This time Kangana Ranaut took a dig at filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt again.

Kangana shared an old video of Mahesh Bhatt on her Instagram questioning his real name. Changing real names is very common in the industry, many actors and filmmakers rename themselves before making big. Similarly, Mahesh Bhatt has hidden his real name ‘Aslam’. To this, the Manikarnika actress took a dig asking why he is hiding his beautiful name.

Yesterday Kangana took to her social media sharing an old video of the filmmaker on her Instagram stories. She also made statements about Mahesh Bhatt’s real name and his religion. Publishing an old speech by Mahesh, the actress wrote, “Mahesh ji casually and poetically inciting people for violence.”

In another clip from the same video, she wrote, “I am told his real name is Aslam… he converted to marry his second wife… it is a beautiful name, why hide it?” Another clip shared by her read, “He must use his real name, not represent a certain religion, when he has converted…”

Mahesh Bhatt changed his religion to marry his second wife Soni Razdan. For the uninitiated, Kangana made her Bollywood debut in the 2006 film Gangster which was backed by Mahesh Bhatt.

Back in 2020, Kangana accused Mahesh of assaulting her for turning down a film titled Dhoka, directed by his daughter Pooja Bhatt. Earlier this year, she spoke against Mahesh Bhatt and Alia Bhatt. This is from the time when Gangubai Kathiawadi was about to release. Kangana claimed the movie had wrong casting calling Alia Bhatt ‘papa ki pari’.

Then again Kangana took to her Instagram Stories and wrote, “This Friday ₹200 crore will be burnt to ashes at the box office… for a papa (movie mafia daddy) ki pari (who likes to keep a British passport) because papa wants to prove that romcom bimbo can act… biggest drawback of the film is wrong casting… yeh nahi sudhrenge (these people won’t change)…”

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut is working on her next directorial Emergency. She will be essaying the lead role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film that is based on the emergency crisis that took place in the year 1975.
