Kangana Ranaut Lambasts Celebs For Promoting Mahadev App: ‘Yeh Naya Bharat Hai, Sudhar Jao Nahi Toh Sudhar Diye Jaoge’

The 'Mahadev Betting App' Serves As A Platform For Individuals To Place Bets On Various Online Games, Including Poker, Card Games, Badminton

Kangana Ranaut has criticized celebrities who allegedly accepted money to promote the Mahadev app, which is currently linked to a money laundering investigation. Actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, Huma Qureshi, and others are now under the scrutiny of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for their involvement in promoting the betting platform or participating in events organized by the app’s promoters.

Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of a news article highlighting celebrities under the ED’s scanner due to the Mahadev app scam. She wrote, “This endorsement offer came to me almost six times over the course of a year, with each offer increasing by several crores, but I declined each time. Integrity is not just a matter of personal conscience anymore. This is the new India; adapt or be forced to adapt.”

Recently, actor Ranbir Kapoor was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning. The ED’s advocate has confirmed that Ranbir has requested a one-week extension to appear before the agency. Ranbir is allegedly connected to promotional activities related to the Mahadev betting app.

This investigation by the ED extends to several other A-list celebrities and certain sports personalities who either promoted the app or had associations with its promoters. These connections were established during events such as Sourabh Chandrakar’s wedding in February of this year and the company’s success party in September 2022.

The ‘Mahadev Betting App’ serves as a platform for individuals to place bets on various online games, including poker, card games, badminton, tennis, and more. The app’s founders, Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, are based in Dubai, where betting is legal, but it is considered illegal in India.
