Kangana Ranaut is all set and geared up to portray yet another strong female politician which is our late and former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on the 70 mm screens and earlier she also cleared that this is not going to be an out an out kind of a biopic but definitely would be covering most important moments in our country India’s political history and now as the pre-production work of the film has already started, this time giving all her fans an little treat, Kangana shared few exclusive sneak peeks and glimpses of her prep for the film with netizens on social media through her instagram stories and also shared that she has scanned her body for the film ‘Emergency’ for getting ‘into the skin of Indira Gandhi’.
Kangana has literally teased her fans this time with a little work video at her production house Manikarnika films and in one video we see Kangana gets her hand scanned whilst in the other video, we see her showing fans the glimpse of her ‘body scan’ procedure which she captioned it as, ‘Body scan for film Emergency, time to get into Madam Prime Minister Indira Gandhi ji’s skin’.
Also, earlier a leading indian newspaper publication quoted Kangana’s statement related to this particular film as, “Yes, we are working on the project, and the script is in the final stages. It is not the biopic of Indira Gandhi. It is a grand period film. To be precise, it is a political drama that will help my generation to understand (the) socio-political landscape of current India”.
She in this interview with the newspaper publication also clearly mentioned about how the film is based on a book and the likes of eminent political figures like Rajiv Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri are also going to be seen in the film. Kangana on this part said, “Many prominent actors will be part of this film and of course I am looking forward to playing the most iconic leader that we have had in the history of Indian politics”.
On the work front, currently at the moment Kangana has an interesting line up of films wherein she is going to be seen in much awaited multilingual biopic on late politician and actress J Jayalalithaa titled Thalaivi, followed by Dhaakad, next going to be seen essaying an airforce pilot in Tejas.
