In the past, many television actors have made their way to Bollywood and were successful. Actors like Shushant Singh Rajput, Yami Gautam, Irfan Khan, Prachi Desai, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Mrunal Thakur amongst others. To tell you even the superstar Shah Rukh Khan has also started his career with daily soap ‘Circus’. Now Saraswatichandra fame Jennifer Winget is said to make her Bollywood debut. Reports suggest that she will be roped alongside newly became superstar Kartik Aaryan.
Jennifer Winget is one of the most well-known names on television. It was no looking back for the actress after her romantic drama show Dil Mil Gaye. Since then she has risen to fame with her superb acting in shows like Beyhadh, and Bepannaah. Jennifer also delivered a prominent role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saraswatichandra. Now rumours are rife that the pretty girl is now making it to Bollywood after a notable success on television.
Jennifer is rumored to be seen in a big Bollywood project alongside Kartik Aaryan. According to the source: “Jennifer will be seen in a project with Kartik Aaryan and mostly it is a film. However, the duo hasn’t yet confirmed the news about them being together in the film or any other project. But both the actors have been approached for a project and they too have likely said yes to it.”
Well, Jennifer Winget was actually supposed to make her Bollywood debut in 2015, but unfortunately, the project failed. She was signed alongside Kunal Kohli in Phir Se.. but some copyright issues pulled it back. However, after three years streaming giant Netflix lent the makers a platform in 2018.
Apart from Bollywood, the actress has climbed OTT stairs with ALT Balaji show Code M. Talking about the same she said: “Code M was my OTT debut in 2020 and the first season was received so well, that there were no two ways about returning for a sequel. With the dearth and variety of content across platforms, there are also not too many shows where actresses get to play the hero.”
Creating a name for herself in television and OTT Jennifer is now set for Bollywood. If the rumors are true then we are waiting for the actress to rock Hindi cinema as well. Fans are extremely happy and excited to know the details about the upcoming project. Previously Jennifer has featured in films as a child actor in ‘Akele Hum Akele Tum’, ‘Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat’, ‘Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya’ and ‘Kuch Naa Kaho’.
