Bhagyashree made a big name in the industry right from her debut movie ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’. She starred opposite Salman Khan in the Rajshri film directed by Sooraj Barjatiya. Soon after she vanished which left the audience and fans in shock. Since then Bhagyashree had been asked if she regrets quitting Bollywood and stepping off the spotlight.
In a recent media interaction, the actress revealed that she has been questioned if she regrets leaving the industry. Ever Since Bhagyashree got married to Himalaya Dassani in 1990, she chose to focus on family. The proud mother of actors Abhimanyu Dassani and Avantika Dassani has no regrets about quitting Bollywood. Abhimanyu and Avantika have followed their footsteps and made their name in acting with the movie ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’ and the web series ‘Mithya’ respectively.
Bhagyashree also mentioned that her children are also asked the same question. Coming over to her answer on disappearing from Bollywood she said “I am happy with the way things are shaping up. It feels great that people still remember me, it’s thanks to their love that I am here. You probably have people asking you that even now…(Laughs) My children laugh at this. My son, Abhimanyu, who has been promoting his film, says everyone asks him the same question again and again. I told him that I have been answering this question for the past 33 years!”
She further added: “I had the opportunity to look after my family and my home, and now when I have almost fulfilled my responsibilities, there’s good work coming my way. I am grateful for that. My children are the wind beneath my wings. So, no regrets because I feel I got the best of both worlds.”
However, in the past, Bhagyashree appeared in Radhe Shyam and Thalaivii. She was even seen in the reality show Smart Jodi with her husband Himalaya. The actress is now returning to television with a dance reality show. She will be judging DID Super Moms with Urmila Matondkar and Remo D’Souza.
