“It’s Bullsh*t, Dad”, Akshay Kumar Reveals Son Aarav’s Reaction On His Films

Akshay Kumar candidly reveals how his son Aarav Kumar reacts to his films.

Actor Akshay Kumar recently opened up about his family during a recent interview, shedding light on his children’s reactions to his films. The Bollywood superstar, known for his action-packed roles, revealed that his daughter Nitara is still quite young and doesn’t fully comprehend his movies. However, it’s his son, Aarav Bhatia, who doesn’t mince words when it comes to critiquing his dad’s work.

Speaking during an ANI podcast, Akshay Kumar was asked if his mother had watched his films. He replied, “She has seen all my films 7-8 times.” It’s worth noting that Akshay’s mother, Aruna Bhatia, passed away on September 8, 2021. Reflecting on his late father, who couldn’t witness his son’s rise to stardom, Akshay added, “He didn’t get to see as much as my mother did.”

When it comes to his kids, Nitara and Aarav, Akshay shared, “Beti toh bohot choti hai. Beta hai, woh jab film dekhta hai… ‘Good dad, I’m proud of you,’ bas itna isse zyada nahi (My daughter is very young. When my son watches my films, he has very few words. ‘Dad, how was it?’… ‘Sorry, but it’s bullsh*t, Dad.’ If they don’t like it, that’s where it goes).” It seems Aarav is quite candid about his opinions.

This isn’t the first time Akshay has talked about his son’s disinterest in films. He previously mentioned to Hindustan Times, “I want to show my son films, I want to tell him about films, but he doesn’t want to see films. He just wants to do his work. He wants to study or do his fashion designing.”

Aarav is currently focused on his studies and has aspirations in the field of fashion designing. Akshay lovingly shared, “My son… he is not interested in films. He just wants to do his fashion designing, and he is into that. Daughter is very small.”

Akshay Kumar is married to Twinkle Khanna, and their son Aarav was born in 2002, while Nitara came into the world in 2012. Celebrating Aarav’s 21st birthday last month, Akshay wrote a heartwarming note for his son, “Hi mere angrez puttar… the candles on your cake count to 21 today, but for me, you’d always be the li’l one who’d jump into my lap and make a tough day worth carrying on. Enjoy your day, my son, you can now legally do everything I suspect you’ve been doing already 😉 Love you, Aarav. Forever your proud dad.”

On the work front, Akshay was last seen in Hindi film “Mission Raniganj” which hit the theatres on 6th October.
