When questioned about Govinda's declining career, Raveena expressed her belief that his time in Bollywood is not over.

Govinda and Raveena Tandon, a dynamic Bollywood duo, have left an indelible mark on the industry with their memorable films like “Aunty No. 1,” “Dulhe Raja,” and others. Their on-screen chemistry was once considered superhit, creating cinematic magic that resonated with audiences. However, the trajectory of Govinda’s career has seen a decline, marked by rare appearances in films and a noticeable absence of hits since 2007’s “Partner,” in which he starred alongside Salman Khan.

Despite this downturn, Raveena Tandon has come forward to lend her support to Govinda. In an interview with Lallantop, she shed light on the reasons behind the actor’s struggle to maintain his peak in the industry. Raveena, acknowledging Govinda’s unique talent, remarked that she had never seen an actor who could seamlessly evoke laughter and tears within the same scene. Fondly recalling her collaborations with Govinda on various films, including the iconic “Aunty No. 1,” she emphasized the joy she experienced working with the actor.

When questioned about Govinda’s declining career, Raveena expressed her belief that his time in Bollywood is not over. Instead, she suggested that the current cinematic landscape may not be conducive to showcasing Govinda’s exceptional talent. Raveena acknowledged Govinda’s significant influence on her understanding of comedy, attributing much of her knowledge in the genre to him. According to her, Govinda remains unparalleled in his comedic prowess.

Govinda’s career, however, has been marred by notorious delays on film sets, a trait he is infamous for. Numerous stories circulate about filmmakers facing substantial losses due to the actor’s habitual tardiness. In an interview with Cyrus Broacha, advertising guru Prahlad Kakkar recounted a particularly extreme incident where Govinda arrived a staggering 48 hours late for a shoot. According to Kakkar, during the filming of a project in Hyderabad, Govinda, who was initially in Srinagar, had promised to arrive on time. Despite not having a flight booked, Govinda assured the crew that he would drive down. Anticipating an 8-hour journey from Srinagar to Hyderabad, the crew prepared for his arrival. However, the actor’s delayed 48-hour journey led to significant disruptions in the shooting schedule, highlighting a challenge in Govinda’s professional conduct that has affected the industry.
