Actor Manoj Bajpayee made headlines when he uploaded a shirtless photo on his Instagram account, showcasing a toned physique with abs and a lean look. This created a buzz, with people praising Manoj for his apparent body transformation. However, some individuals questioned whether the image was generated with the assistance of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The truth has now been revealed, as Manoj himself admitted during an interview with Indian Express that the photo was indeed ‘morphed.’ He clarified that it was part of a campaign strategy for his upcoming web series.
When asked about the viral photo, Manoj stated, “It was morphed,” revealing the behind-the-scenes details of the campaign. He explained that Netflix orchestrated the morphing as a strategic move to generate intrigue and successfully kick-start their promotional campaign.
He said, “It was morphed,” when asked about the photo, which had gone viral on social media. He reasoned, “It was a campaign strategy by Netflix. So, they wanted to start a campaign on a high with the intrigue and they managed to be successful doing it.”
In the shirtless photo, Manoj showcased his six-pack abs, sparking curiosity among celebrities and fans about his workout routine. Accompanying the image was a caption written by the actor: “New Year, New Me! Dekho delicious soup ka meri body pe asar. Ekdum killer look hai na (See the effect of soup on my body. Isn’t it a killer look)?” The photo served as a promotional strategy for his recently released web series, “Killer Soup,” in which Konkona Sen Sharma plays his wife.
Directed and co-written by Abhishek Chaubey, “Killer Soup” features a stellar cast, including Nasser, Sayaji Shinde, and Lal. Produced by Honey Trehan and Chetana Kowshik, the web series premiered on Netflix on January 11, adding another dimension to Manoj Bajpayee’s diverse acting portfolio.
