Everyone is well aware of the name of the musical duo Nadeem-Shravan. They flourished the Bollywood film industry with their amazing music talent. After Gulshan Kumar’s death, Nadeem Saifee was trapped in the controversy, and then he left India. Till date, this music maestro hasn’t come to India. But even staying in London for so many years, he has ruled the music industry in Mumbai. He has given melodious songs to Bollywood, sitting in London.
In a telephonic interview with Lehren, he talked over many things like coming to India, his technique of choosing singers, his bonding with lyricist Sameer Anjaan etc. When he was asked whether he missed making music in India or preferred to sit in London, he replied that he would prefer to sit in London because he was detached from all the politics in the industry around him. He shed some light on his relation with Sameer Anjaan and described it as “Body and Soul”. Further he continued, “We, heated out very, very well, and he is a very wonderful person, truly talented, and I think we make a great team.”
On the other hand, Sameer Anjaan termed their collaboration saying, “Nothing succeeds like a success. Sameer said that he hadn’t seen a fighter like Nadeem. Even in the worst situation when his name was attached to the Gulshan Kumar murder controversy, he never stopped composing.
Nadeem shared his work techniques. He mentioned all those things which he considers while deciding on a voice for the songs, like actors in the movie, story, director’s demands, mood of the film etc.
