Mushtaq Khan, who has collaborated with Big B in numerous films, shared a story highlighting how Amitabh helped him buy his first house.

Amitabh Bachchan, one of the top actors in the Indian film industry, ventured into politics and became a Member of Parliament in 1984 from the Congress party. Despite his involvement in politics, he remained a superstar in Bollywood. Mushtaq Khan, who has collaborated with Big B in numerous films, shared a story highlighting how Amitabh helped him buy his first house.

In an interview with Digital Commentary, he recalled shooting with Mr. Bachchan when he was newly married. ‘Ek scheme thi CM quota ke tehet, jisme 10 percent artist quota hota hai, jo government ke taraf se CM ke office se milta hai. Bachchan sahab us waqt Congress se Allahabad se MP the. Unke saath main film ke shoot pe tha aur main apni biwi ko bhi saath lekar gaya tha. Maine unse kaha, “Sir, aisa aisa hai,” toh unhone kaha, “No problem. Just give me a letter. I will give you a letter, and you just have to go to Sharad Pawar and hand over the letter,” he said.

‘And you won’t believe it, after three days, I got a phone call from his office saying, “Your letter is ready.”‘ Aur unke mutabiq mujhe Kandivali mein ek flat mila,’ he further added.

This demonstrates Amitabh’s generosity and how he looks after his co-stars. Meanwhile, Mushtaq Khan has appeared in several Bollywood movies in supporting roles, including Rowdy Rathore, Gopi Kishan, Wanted, Ek Aur Ek Gyarah, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, and most recently, Gadar 2. Besides films, he has also featured in a few television shows such as Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, The ZEE Horror Show, and Adalat, among others.
