Celebrating Diwali in the company of her close-knit circle, Kapoor also made headlines for her relatable family moment.

Kareena Kapoor, the renowned Bollywood actress, and her husband Saif Ali Khan celebrated their union in 2012 after living together for five years. In a recent interview with Dirty Magazine, Kapoor unveiled insights into their decision to tie the knot, shedding light on their choice to embark on the journey of marriage in pursuit of parenthood.

“The reason you get married now is that you want to have a child, right? I mean today otherwise you can just live together. [Saif and I] lived together for five years, so when we took the next step, it was because we wanted to have children,” expressed Kapoor during the interview.

The couple welcomed their first child, Taimur Ali Khan, in 2016, and their second son, Jeh Ali Khan, graced their lives in 2021. Kapoor delved into her parenting ethos, emphasizing a philosophy of respect and individualism towards her sons.

“We treat them as individuals, we respect them, and we just let them be. They will figure it out, they will find their own path. Kids are quite resilient, you know,” shared Kapoor, reflecting on her approach to parenting.

Her commitment to nurturing her family extends to her personal life, as she candidly admitted, “I’m very attached to my family, my kids, my husband, my five friends. That’s it. That’s my life. I need my people.”

Recently celebrating Diwali in the company of her close-knit circle, Kapoor also made headlines for her relatable family moment. Taking to Instagram, she shared a series of photos attempting to capture a perfect family moment with Saif and their sons. However, the realness of parenting shone through as Jeh exhibited playful antics, deviating from the photoshoot script and leaving everyone amused and feeling connected.

She further explained her absence from social events, stating, “I’m very attached to my family, my kids, my husband, my five friends. That’s it. That’s my life. I need my people. My spot boy has been with me from my first shot. People who come into my world, I don’t let them go and they don’t leave. That’s why I’m not at every single party. I don’t feel the need to be doing that. Being at parties, making friends, socialising. I don’t want to.”

As scores of Bollywood stars were seen attending Diwali parties across Tinsel Town, Kareena decided to give them a miss and host her own with friends and family.
