This IPL season has brought a major disappointment to MI fans. Not because Mumbai Indians had the second continuous loss of this season, but it all started when Hardik Pandya left Gujarat Titans and accepted the leadership of Mumbai Indians and fans really can’t see Hardik as MI’s captain in the presence of Rohit Sharma. In the midst of this hatred towards the new captain of MI, fans reflected their feelings in the comment section of Natasa Stankovi, Hardik Pandya’s wife. Following a defeat with SRH on Wednesday, 27th March, fans trolled Natasa in her recent Instagram post.
In India, cricketers getting trolled after failure in any match is common and cricketers are used to it, but nowadays, fans and netizens also criticize and troll their family members as if they are the one who are responsible for the loss. Hardik Pandya’s wife Natasa shared her first post in this IPL season and netizens crowded into her comment box. Her comment section is filled with cheeky and insulting comments. She faced major backlash because of Hardik’s poor performance against GT and SRH.
There were a few mature people who defended Natasa. They spoke on her behalf against all those who didn’t know how to constructively express their disappointment regarding the poor performance of the team. One wrote, “Guys I am also a Rohit fan but don’t abuse his family We also have a family, how would we feel if someone said something like this about our family?”. Another commented, “Toxic fanbase At least hardik performs at knockout and will perform for India in 2024. Dont just comment shamelessly at anyone’s post especially their family. Dont get them involved.”
Apart from this controversy, everyone is really waiting for magic in the next MI match, which will be on April 1 against RR.
