Coolie No. 1 was a cult classic starring one of the most famous Jodi from Bollywood-Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. And like any other successful film in the past, While their fans are eager to see Sara and Varun together on the big screen, many were curious to see how veteran actor Govinda felt about it. Govinda never responded to the news, but at last, opened during the Filmfare Awards about it. The actor wished Coolie’s squad. No-one good luck for the match.
Talking to the entertainment television channel Govinda said, ” A lot of films are getting remakes and whenever I am on a tour, I have many people tell me how some actors look like me so it is good. May God bless Varun to take up this role that I played in Coolie No. 1.”
Varun has always been a big fan of Govinda and has often shown appreciation for being able to step into his Coolie No. 1 shoes. Govinda said, Speaking about the same, “A lot of actors take inspiration from the veteran superstars and try and find some similarity between them and the megastar. And I think this is very good. In the start of my career even I did the same. I wish them all the luck for their career.”
Lately, Varun also has an opinion on working with his dad which he shared with a daily stating “I really wanted to do a massy film after Judwaa 2 (2017). And working on an out-and-out commercial movie with dad is fantastic. He is the captain of the ship, who makes us have the most fun. Coolie No. 1 is an extremely massy film.”
Coolie No 1. will be released on May 1 and will compete with Hollywood movie Black Widow starring Scarlette Johansson. The original movie starring Govinda, Karishma Kapoor, Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor and Tiku Talsania in pivotal roles, released back in 1995.
